Jess Puri
Guitar Virtuoso and Composer, Jess Puri is one of England’s finest acoustic fingerstyle guitarists around today. Already performed at music venues, festivals, guitar shows, radio stations and TV shows widely across England and Europe, Asia, Australia, Canada and the USA, she has developed a distinctive, inspiring style of playing. Jess employs the use of unique techniques such as fingerpicking, fingerstyle, thumbstyle, flatpicking and many others to produce her sound on the acoustic guitar.
Originally described as a “child prodigy” and now known as ”one of the youngest virtuoso guitarists around the world today”, Jess has gained an impressive worldwide following and has become an inspiration to many others across the globe. She is also an official G7th Capo, Ernie Ball and Spitfire Audio artist. In Summer 2015/16, Jess had the opportunity to tour in Europe for 3 and half months which has opened a wide range of doors for her. She is composing and performing her own material and arrangements as she continues to gain the success and reputation for herself at such a young age.
Artists that have influenced and inspired Jess include; Tommy Emmanuel, Chet Atkins, Merle Travis, Mark Knopfler, Jerry Reed, Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Thomas Newman, Michael Fix and Tazenda. Jess has already performed and worked with many artists worldwide including; Grammy nominee, Tommy Emmanuel.
In addition to her solo career in the guitar world, she is now working on composing music for film. Film music is something that Jess has had a huge passion for since a very young age. Being recognised greatly by many film directors, composers and many others within the film industry has made her strive with many new projects.
